Hi Peaches!

As promised, I’m going to cut right to the exciting news!


Yes, as of yesterday I am officially enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. This is something I have been wanting to do for a while now, but I was waiting for the right moment, and of course the right program! After researching and reading graduates health blogs/businesses and seeing their success, it inspired me to take the plunge. I have never been more motivated or passionate in my life. I can’t wait to for you guys to see what’s in store for the future. (:

Lately Loving Summer 2017

I know, I know, I have been slacking *big time* with my posting schedule lately. In all honesty this summer has just been cray cray. (For lack of better terms.) Instead of writing I have been reading – reading more than I ever have in my life. Now you might say – didn’t you read a lot in high school, Mariah? Absolutely not. Have you heard of Spark Notes??

Look it up.

I would avoid reading like it was my job. I hated it. In fact, I didn’t like learning in general .. until I discovered my true passion for health and fitness. That was the true game changer – I then became a sponge. Every book, article, blog post, podcast about health/wellness/mindfulness I was absorbing every last word.

Now if only I could remember everything..

This leads us into my first favorite of the month, BOOKS.


“Headstrong” yet another book by the lovely Dave Asprey. The concept behind it is to teach us how to use our max potential of brain power. It’s definitely there, we just need to tap into it. This book is a little bit more on the technical side, but it definitely gets the message across. I enjoy the way he writes, and I’m hoping he comes out with another book soon! (DAVE I HOPE YOU’RE READING THIS!) Read my last favorites post to learn about the first book I read by him. (I suggest you read that before this.) If you are NOT into all the details, I found another great book on Amazon called “The New Health Rules.” I would recommend this because it’s an easy read, well written, and it’s inexpensive!

Kitchen Gadget:

If you haven’t seen my posts about juice lately, well frankly you must be living under a rock. I have been beyond obsessed with my  our juicer. I try to juice almost every day even if it’s just carrots, apple and ginger. It’s refreshing and delicious! The juicer is a bit pricey but I think it’s worth the investment if you know you will use it frequently. You can find the one I use HERE.


Some of you may know that this month I sprained my neck. EEK. It has been a process for recovering back to my normal self, and I still feel stiff and sore at times. Instead of beating myself up and forcing fitness on my body, I have been taking it easy with my workouts. When it’s nice outside I will run/kayak/hike or do an outdoor workout, and when I’m feeling stressed or not my usual high energy self, I will take a hot yoga class. It’s all about balance and listening to your body. Nothing fancy this month, just taking care of myself!

Beauty Counter:

What would a favorites post be without my favorite company!? Beautycounter continues to surprise me their amazing products. Not only do their products perform great but what they believe is even greater. They believe we deserve safer skincare. (Which is true!) I’m not going to give you my spiel, but you can check out my post HERE for more info. Lately I have been loving the sunscreen (especially the face stick) for my beach days! I have yet to get a bad burn when I religiously apply it! It’s important to protect yourself, especially people like me with fair skin – or as I like to call it, BB skin. My second favorite product this month is their eyeliner! For a VERY long time I have not been able to wear any because it seemed to always make my eyes burn and tear up. I was skeptical to put another dime of my hard earned money into ANOTHER eyeliner product. I was happily surprised to not have any issues! WOOHOO!!

You can’t go wrong with organic, raw/unrefined coconut oil. There are so so many uses. Lately I have been using it to make my scrambled eggs fluffier! One teaspoon of coconut oil, let it melt in the pan then crack your eggs and whip them in the pan with the oil! Keep the temp lower and move them around the entire time. The result? Delicious & fluffy scrambled eggs. Another simple way to use coconut oil is melting it, and mixing it with cocao powder! Add a little honey, sea salt, throw it on some parchment paper and pop it in the freezer! Instant chocolate. There are endless ways to use coconut oil which is why it is consistently a favorite of mine!

Health Product:

Natural deodorant that actually works is like finding me in Whole Foods. Practically impossible. Until a good friend introduced me to Primal Pit Paste I was trying and failing with every natural deodorant product. I can happily report this one actually works! I don’t smell, I’m not irritated, and I most importantly I am not putting harmful chemicals on my body! It’s a win, win.
